In his second season as steward of the men's soccer program, Tom Carlin has begun to lay the foundation for an exciting future at Villanova. Over the course of his time on the job, Carlin has worked diligently to enhance the total program. The Wildcats have landed a pair of decorated recruiting classes since his promotion from the assistant coaching spot he held in 2007 and reached the BIG EAST Tournament in his first season at the helm. What's more, there has been an active outreach to the program's alumni base, the development of a new web site (vusoccer.com), and a continued emphasis on dedication to the community. more . . .

Former Major League Soccer Goalkeeper of the Year Zach Thornton has joined the Villanova men’s soccer staff as an associate head coach. Thornton comes to Villanova from the staff of Loyola University, where he served as an assistant coach/goalkeeping coach.
Zach is a terrific addition to our soccer program,” stated Villanova head coach Tom Carlin. “As a six-time MLS all-star who also earned nine caps playing for the U.S. national team, he has an incredible understanding of what it takes to excel at the highest level. Steve Sawyer joined the Villanova men's soccer staff in March 2011 after two years as the assistant at Connecticut College.

When Tim Lenahan was hired at Northwestern prior to the 2001 season, he had already displayed a keen ability to build programs--first at his alma mater, Richard Stockton College, then at Lafayette College.
And after 11 seasons in Evanston and six NCAA tournament appearances in the past eight years, not only has the reputation been cemented, Lenahan has proven himself to be one of the premier college coaches in the game today. Matt Viggiano begins his fifth year leading his alma mater's men's soccer program. In 2010, Viggiano looks to guide the young Red Foxes back into the conference tournament, which they have reached six times, and the NCAA tournament, a place they have visited three times since the turn of the century. In his first three seasons, Marist has reached the quarterfinals of the MAAC Tournament, and he has placed seven members of his squad on the MAAC All-Rookie Team. Nydick joins Arcadia as the 6th head coach in the program’s history, and will also serve as the transportation and scheduling coordinator for the department. Andrew Brady is in his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Cabrini men’s soccer team in 2012. Brady was a four-year letterwinner with the Cavaliers from 2002-06, starting two seasons at the goalkeeper position as a junior and senior. The 2012 season marks Stephen Blumenthal's second season at the helm of Immaculata's men’s soccer program. The Mighty Macs went 5-13-1 overall and 2-6-1 in the CSAC during Blumenthal's first season in 2011. Midfielder T.J.
